Sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) comprises of different facets that affect both men and women. It can be split into these four main categories which are; sexual health (is a state of physical, mental and social well being in relation to sexuality), reproductive health (is a state of physical, mental and social well being relating to the reproductive system and its functions and processes), sexual (refers to the ability to fulfil and express ones sexuality and enjoy sexual health without any judgement, discrimination or stigmatization), and reproductive rights (recognition of one’s basic right to decide freely and responsibly if, when and how to space and time their children).
Facilitating and running training workshops is one of the few ways in which information around SRHR can be shared. This facilitator manual was developed to achieve this exact purpose. With the support from Ford Foundation Southern Africa, Ibis Reproductive Health was able to produce a training manual that will assist health care personnel on addressing young people’s sexual and reproductive health and rights.
